We had an incredible time taking a group of our students to the African American Music Festival at the History Museum of Mobile!

They had the opportunity to listen, learn, and truly experience the powerful roots of gospel, jazz, and soul music—genres that have shaped generations and continue to inspire the world. From uplifting gospel harmonies to the smooth rhythms of jazz and the heartfelt sounds of soul, it was a day filled with culture, history, and unforgettable moments.

So proud of our students for engaging with and embracing the rich musical heritage that continues to influence artists everywhere! #ExcellenceByChoice #LearningLeading #PerseverancePropelsProgress

Last night at our Math Night, teachers had our middle schoolers (and parents) solving, collaborating, and showing off all they’ve learned. The goal: Finishing the school year strong—one problem at a time! 💪📚✨

The PPS TALK campaign encourages our students to identify a trusted adult at home and at school.

Friends are great to talk to, but students need to know that the trusted adults in their life are here to help. The faculty and staff here at Phillips will work with parents and families to address the needs of students. We want our students to be happy, healthy lifelong learners. Students and families, please don’t hesitate to communicate with us.

We invite our students to help spread the holiday cheer by participating in our Student Holiday Dress Out Days! On Monday, 12/15, students and staff will "deck the halls" in their ugly Christmas sweaters (out-of-uniform tops only). Tuesday, 12/16, students and staff may wear their favorite Christmas headgear. These are free (no cost!) dress-out days, so we hope to see as many participants as possible! Happy Holidays!
