We’re excited to welcome our newest students to Kindercamp — a fun, hands-on introduction to school life at Mary B. Austin!
Kindercamp is the perfect opportunity for incoming kindergarteners to meet their classmates and teachers in a playful, interactive learning environment. 🧩📚

Day 1
👫 Parents will walk students in through the gates.
📍 Brief parent meeting begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria.
Day 2
🚗 Parents will practice using the carpool lanes for morning drop-off and pick-up.
⏰ Carpool drop-off starts at 8:20 a.m.
🔚 Dismissal begins at 11:50 a.m.

Field Day Fun-Parking Lot Edition
Construction might have taken over our field, but that didn't stop our amazing PE teachers from pulling off an unforgettable Field Day!
With a little creativity and a whole lot of heart, they transformed our parking lot into the ultimate relay zone - and our students had an absolute blast! From sprinting between cones to cheering on their classmates, the energy and smiles said it all!
A huge shoutout to our PE team for turning a challenge into a celebration - and to our students for brining the fun no matter where we play!
We wrapped up the year with a celebration for our amazing MBA Peer Helpers! Students reflected on the program and shared helpful feedback for next year, received their Peer Helper certificates and enjoyed some well-deserved snacks.
We missed a few who were at Strings rehearsal, but we're so proud of the entire group and the impact they've made this year. We can't wait to see how they continue to lead and support our school community next year!
Our PACE students recently explored American history and pop culture by creating their very own "Pet Rock Museum" exhibits! Each student designed a pet rock based on a decade from the 20th century and built a mini museum to showcase their rock’s story. From landmark events to iconic music, it was a creative celebration of resilience and the American spirit!
🎉 We’re so proud of our amazing 1st–4th grade students and can’t wait to celebrate their hard work at our End-of-Year Honors Program! 🌟
While we’d love to welcome families on campus, construction of our new multi-purpose building and limited indoor space mean we’re unable to host in-person guests for these programs. But we’re excited to offer a way for families near and far to tune in virtually! 💻🎥
Kindergarteners will be celebrated during their Kindergarten Fashion Show, and 5th graders will be honored at their own special program. 🎓✨

Today was Snow Cone Day for all students grade 2 through 5 that did their very best on their ACAP test. We are so very proud of them and today was their reward for all that hard work. Great job boys and girls!
We’re proud to share that our school was well represented at the 11th Annual MCPSS Film Festival!
Out of over 220 video submissions from across MCPSS, we had 6 finalists—an incredible accomplishment!
Special congratulations to Cannon and Corley Persons for taking home a win in the 3–5 Short Film category with their creative video “Our New Powers.”
